Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute 

Since 1930, the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute of the University of Maryland has been the State of Maryland's training and education system for Fire, EMS, HazMat and Rescue.  With six regional training centers around the state and headquarters in College Park, the Institute reaches into all parts of Maryland to provide training at all levels to emergency responders in their own communities.  The Institute also provides tailored emergency operations and compliance training under contract to governments and private industry in the Mid-Atlantic Region, across the country and around the world.
